Career Opportunities

 

A qualification in this specialized field is suitable for a career in road, rail, air and sea transport, both in the public and private sectors. Transport managers, logisticians and transport economists are employed by state enterprises as well as by private mining, agricultural, manufacturing and commercial groups.

Various large companies operate their own fleets and need transport experts. National, provincial, and local transport authorities employ experts in the area of passenger and goods transport or appoint consultants. Job opportunities also exist in related areas, such as freight forwarding and tourism.
