We can now offer: A Four Year Bachelor Degree in Commerce with Specialisation in Informatics (The curriculum for the BCom with specialisation in Informatics comprises 32 modules with subject details shown on next page.) Career Opportunities Graduates will enter the labour market as entry-level programmers using state-of-the-art computer tools and programming environments to develop business information systems. With sufficient experience these graduates often become business analysts or information engineers who are responsible for analyzing information needs of the enterprise and for designing information systems to fulfill these needs. Another possibility is to become consultant in business improvement projects, including information system development. These graduates will also qualify for managerial positions as leaders of information systems development projects or Management Information Systems (MIS) managers. They often act as facilitators between software developers and the client.
How it Works The method of teaching this course is highly innovative. We call it “locally supported distance education” : learning through University supplied materials and MDC SA administration and resource centres. It is based on MDC SA“On-location” method of teaching which is so successful for postgraduate study here in the Middle East.
